Converse, Converse Scandinavia, Coop Sverige och en av Coop Sveriges leverantörer, L&P Nierenburg, har förlikats i en tvist om Coop Sveriges försäljning av ett parti förfalskade Converse skor, som bland annat L&P Nierenburg levererat.
Coop Sverige och L&P Nierenburg betonar att skorna har köpts av en leverantör, OFN Holding ApS och MSK Traders Ltd., som garanterade äktheten hos dessa skor, men inte kunde lämna tillräckliga och övertygande bevis för den påstådda äktheten, eller hjälpa till att informera om var dessa skor tillverkades.
Som seriösa och respekterade företag anser Coop Sverige och L&P Nierenburg, att varumärkesvarors äkthet är av yttersta vikt. Vi vill inte bli förknippade med falska varor och säljare av falska varor. Coop Sverige och L&P Nierenburg kommer att betala en ersättning till Converse och kvarvarande skor i lager kommer att förstöras.

Converse, Converse Scandinavia, Coop Sweden and one of Coop Swedens suppliers L&P Nierenburg have settled a dispute concerning the sale of a batch of counterfeited Converse footwear by Coop Sweden supplied by among others by L&P Nierenburg.
Coop Sweden and L&P Nierenburg emphasize that they have purchased the footwear from a supplier, OFN Holding ApS and MSK Traders Ltd., who guaranteed the authenticity of those products but were unable to submit sufficient and convincing proof of the alleged authenticity of the footwear or assist in informing about where the footwear was manufactured.
Coop Sweden and L&P Nierenburg consider the authenticity of branded goods to be of paramount importance and are serious and respected companies and do not want to be associated with counterfeits or sellers of counterfeits. Coop Sweden and L&P Nierenburg will pay compensation to Converse and the remaining inventory of the footwear will be destroyed.
